Amy presents a multi-instrument (guitar, banjo, ukulele, drums, more), multi-cultural program for libraries that will inspire people to think about music in new ways, while developing a positive attitude toward reading, books and the library. Amy has been a language arts teacher, drama director, and music teacher for both children and adults, along with many years as a workshop presenter. Before that she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, and a Master of Education degree (Elementary) at University of Mass/Lowell. Amy considers herself a lifelong learner and now loves helping others learn the creative arts of music and self-expression as a fulltime musician, performer and educator. She is equally comfortable with an audience of one year olds or 90 year olds!
Libraries bring people together in a world where we are often isolated. Amy's musical celebration will allow patrons to experience the joy of community music-making and singing!
